As part of its efforts to promote the creation of synergies and initiatives for the construction of an open, secure and stable Internet, since 2002 LACNIC organizes two annual meetings for the Latin American and Caribbean Internet community.
These meetings bring together more than 400 experienced professionals from leading Internet organizations as well as government, academia and civil society representatives.

LACNIC events have become essential for the Latin American and Caribbean Internet community, a regional meeting place for multistakeholder dialogue, high-level technical training, and the discussion of topics that are of the greatest interest to the Internet community.
